My wallets empty
My life is empty
What the hell is going on?
Working all day, everyday
Payday comes around
It's ok money, but not for living
Car is crapping out
How do I get another?

10 yrs, 9 yrs & 364 days too long
No stop within them years
Lose this, lose that, give up this
You can't have that, can't go anywhere
Can't even buy clothes to wear
Cry cry cry. Why? It don't help
Pray pray pray I don't know
Does it help? Is it a pacifier?
Is it false hope?
What's hope? I'm full of it
Unfortunately can't live on it
Winter is coming, the windows broken
No money to fix it, going to be tough to stay warm
Can't put the heat up, the gas bill went up
My pay didn't.
Just throw on another sweater
What sweater? The one with holes?
It would be like the broken window
Defeating it's purpose
Just suffer through it
Been there, done that
Suffering is something I know
I'm good at it

Searching through the city's canyons where life's an endless stream.
Searching through the open country for some elusive dream.
Searching every window of my mind for a clearer view,
Oh what am I searching for? I wish I knew.
Searching through the night, searching for a light.
What my future holds I cannot say.
Faces dance and stare, for someone who'll care.
Someone who will guide me on my way.
Searching in this frantic world for a love to call my own
Crossing many bridges leading to towns that are unknown
Standing in the wings of life's drama waiting for my cue,
Oh what am I searching for? I wish I knew.
Hopefully I try, reaching for the sky
Questions flash like mirrors in the sun,
What scene must I make? Shall I give or take?
What's the final score when all is done?
Searching through the waves of loneliness on an empty shore.
Searching for familiar footprints, I've known and loved before.
Hurry now my love and find me and tell me if it's true

When you're in a slot of time
Where brother, you can't spare a dime,
You cannot see, how things will be, you're not free...
In short your really fixed.........
When you bridges all are burned,
and lovely things you always yearned for
don't appear, you're on your rear, and you fear
you're starting to feel fixed.
When headlines shouting trouble, double
As the days go on by,
When bread lines make you bitter, be a quitter
Or ....... laugh and cry..
Take me, take me where I'll find
some tasty melon, not the rind...
I want some fun, before someone with a gun
Can get my life nixed...
But history is cruel and repeats
A wild enormous duel with ringside seats...
So if you wanna watch or act,
You've got to face the one big fact:
You're Fixed!
When you're in a situation
where you need a good vacation
and you shout.......
"Please let me out!" There's no doubt
You'd love not bein' fixed...
Once you're born you can't go back
or change your stars or zodiac,
your horoscope......
Leaves not much hope
if you're open'd up to feelin' fixed!
And yet if you can swing it,
you can wing it, just buying time...
And then before you snap, you'll break that trap,
you'll start ........into climb.
Tho' the devil fool ya, you can make with hallelujah,
and a great big YES...
Don't try to guess
why your blessings seem to be mixed...
If you have endurance, you can win
'cause not to have assurance is mortal sin...
So find the key, the open door,
and never never nevermore be

If you search with your heart the beauty of a rosey sunset sky
While you give your love to ease the pain you found in someones eyes
If you find your solace on a prayer while your heart clings to faith within the roses scattered there on a pathway bleak and dim
If you find the courage still, to climb to unknown heights he trod
At the journeys end your heart will know, you walked the way with God
